Acastrian is a York-based bespoke carpentry company. We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of unique bespoke fitted furniture pieces directly to customers in York and the surrounding area. If you’re having trouble finding a company to transform your ideas or concepts into reality then look no further.Â
We specialise in painted fitted furniture. Whilst we use wood for the interiors of our units, we believe that the best finish is provided by painting the facades and doors in situ. We install our work finished in primer/undercoat ready for painting. The painting can then be carried out by yourselves, or by one of our network of local and talented cabinet painters.
We project manage the entire process leaving you to watch your dreams become a reality. Home libraries, bookcases, media centres, fitted wardrobes, home studies, alcove units… we can help.
You will not find any of our pieces in catalogues or shops – and there’s a good reason for this. All of our work is individually designed and crafted to suit your exact requirements and style.

A notice to our customers:
Due to the high demand for our services we are fully-booked until November/December 2018. We are, however, happy to quote for work immediately provided that this lead-time is acceptable to you.
We understand that this is a significant lead-time but we’d like you to bear in mind that, due to the bespoke nature of our work, the design process would need to start some 2 months prior to installation (3 months for larger projects). Please also note that occasionally cancellations may occur which will allow us to bring your works forward.
Please rest assured that once you approve your quote your installation date(s) will be firmly booked into our diary and those dates honoured regardless of the time between quote acceptance and installation.
